A three-year journey across 25 country of old continent: Rome, Budapest, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, London, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Bucharest, Sofia, Vienna, Bratislava, Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Dublin and Athens, the capitals included in the project only become names, places that come together in one place, ancient and contemporary at the same time, a European city. Drawings hidden in the imaginary lines of the glances, which meet thousands in the swirling city life. From black, from the darkness of the multitude and of the city – often usurped by one’s identity – the human being emerges like a miracle, this little light, this little being who at times may seem like a philosopher in search of man. A project on the sense of loneliness, of alienation of the individual in the big city.
“In Chloe, a great city, the people who move through the streets are all strangers. At each encounter, they imagine a thousand things about one another; meetings which could take place between them, conversations, surprises, caresses, bites. But no one greets anyone; eyes lock for a second, then dart away, seeking other eyes, never stopping.”
